I knit inspired by Blue, my Silver Crested Polish hen.  The socks are black and white (Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock Nearly Solids) and use 5 X 5 peerie patterns (see below) I've designed.

There are many more possible combinations of 5 rows by 5 colums, using two colors.  Peerie means small in Orkney.  Peeries are the border patterns used in Fair Isle knitting.  I'm using just peeries on these socks.  I'll separate simple striped rows with peerie rows to try to keep the stranded knitting from drawing in.  I'll start with size 0 Addi Turbo 24" circular needles, and probably switch to size 1 when I've got both black and white in the same row.
