This is my adaptation of E-174, a work in progress. |
| Original E-174 Directions
1st rnd: Attach thread to any corner, 3 sc in same corner. Sl in first sc. 2nd rnd: In same place as sl st make sc and half dc, 3 dc in
next sc, make half dc and sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, * half dc in
next sc, dc in next 3 sc, half dc in next sc (scallop), sc in next 8 sc.
Repeat from * around, making sc and half dc in the first sc of each 3-sc
group at corners, 3 dc in the center sc and half dc and sc in the 3rd sc
of each 3-sc group at corners. Join with sl to first sc.
3rd rnd: Sl in next half dc, ch 8, dc in 5th ch from hook, *
(dc in next dc on scallop, ch 5, dc in last dc) 3 times; dc in next half
dc of scallop, dc in next half dc of next scallop, ch 5, dc in last dc.
Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

Adaptation, renamed
Pink Lemonade (This version uses the 2nd round with the typo & changes are in the 3rd round so it all works out. I had to adjust around the corners with more or fewer scs in round 2 so that the corner motifs are centered.) 1st rnd: Attach thread to any corner, 3 sc in same corner. Sl in first sc. 2nd rnd: In same place as sl st make sc and half dc, 3 dc in next sc, make half dc and sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, * half dc in next sc, dc in next 3 sc, half dc in next sc (scallop), sc in next 8 sc. Repeat from * around, making sc and half dc in the first sc of each 3-sc group at corners, 3 dc in the center sc and half dc and sc in the 3rd sc of each 3-sc groupat corners. Join with sl to first sc. 3rd rnd: Sl in next half dc, ch 8, dc in 5th ch from hook, * (dc in next dc on scallop, ch 5, dc in last dc) 3 times; dc in next half dc of scallop, ch 1, skip 3 dc, dc, dc, ch 1, skip 3 dc, dc in next half dc of next scallop, ch 5, dc in last dc. Repeat from * around. Join and break off. |
