Quick Baked Apples |

Take a microwave proof pan into which all the apples will fit snugly, just touching each other and the sides of the pan. Butter the pan. Core the whole apples with a thin knife or a corer leaving the rest of the apple, including the skin, intact. Stuff the open core with nuts (ground or chopped) and/or raisins. Place apples into pan, pour the honey or syrup over the apples and cover the pan or use saran with a few holes punched in it. Put it into the microwave oven, and cook on high heat for about 10 minutes (it will depend on the apples and the oven). When the apples are solf all the way through, take out and let cool a few minutes. Serve with whipped or unwhipped heavy cream or with sour cream.
