Anchovy Spaghetti Pasta

12 anchovy fillets
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup butter, soft
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/8 tsp cayenne or chipotle chili pepper, ground
1 lb spaghetti

In a mortar, pound drained anchovies and garlic together. Work in butter, olive oil, and chili pepper.  Pour sauce over hot cooked pasta, toss and serve with grated parmesan or romano on the side.

Goes well with Fried Smelts, q.v.
